Women in Clean Energy Conference
Women are vital in the Mongolian energy sector as leaders, entrepreneurs, experts, and consumers, and they will play a key role in Mongolia’s #GreenEnergyFuture.
The USAID's contractor Abt Associates Inc proudly supported the Women in Clean Energy Conference, organized by the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia.
Ellen Bomasang, GESI Adviser for USAID funded Mongolia Energy Governance (MEG) Activity delivered a keynote on the critical role of women in the #JustEnergyTransition. MEG’s Gender and Community Engagement Lead Shurentsetseg Otgonsuren and MEG’s Modern Energy Technology Lead Tsolmon Namkhainyam joined Ellen for a panel highlighting mentorship and networking between women in the sector.
MEG’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning and Grants Manager Mendbayar Budee delivered a presentation on the project’s Mongolia Energy Research and Innovation (MERI) Fund, to encourage women-owned and led businesses to access funding and play an active role in the energy sector transition.
